CNY 2016

It's no surprise when colleagues see me in office in Chinese New Year. I am among the few Chinese who work in the Chinese festive. The difference is, I volunteer to work while the rest couldn't get their leaves approved. This would be the 5th year I celebrated my Chinese New Year in office, to which I never regret doing so. It's better to save my leaves on more deserving days. After all, to spend my leave at home, sleeping, is a waste.

CNY 2015

Dear FY,

CNY is dull over here. I have been thinking too much about work and I think it is time I plan a quick escape to overseas...


This is an origami choy san I made for my ex boss aka current colleague for his wealth. However he is not willing to accept it so I place him a place I see it most - computer.


My only rest day was spent with my mum. Lunch and movie in Pavilion. Then continue to work at home.

Last post of 2013

I could not find a way to make this post any meaningful. I am gonna wrap 2013 with point forms:

1) I still miss the one in Canada. I fail to save and fly there. Feel miserable...

2) Invited Little Oren back to the family. Sent Little Oren for polishing, waxing and coating. Little Oren is now a happy man.

3) My first night shift in December forced me out of house. Lied to my family I had work trip to Ipoh but stayed in hotel.

4) Strongly addicted to Tower of Saviors. Trying to spend more time with lovers and friends.

5) Received appreciation gift from HSBC for 3 years excellent service.

6) Flied my first flight to Thailand, then Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand again.

7) Has not attended gym. Getting fatter these days.

8) Found out that friendship is fragile. One worth MYR 200.00 and another MYR 36.97.

9) Voted in the country election for the first in life. Failed to overturn government. Experiencing price hike and inflation. Life is miserable.

10) I am HIV- and STD free, though you will find it differently in Facebook "About Me".

Chinese New Year Eve...

... is another ordinary day, to me.

1) 9 of 24 hours of the eve were trapped in front of computer, doing this with bf:


2) Only 0.5 of 24 hours was spent on the dining table with family:


3) While 3 of 24 hours were wasted in Midvalley for a stupid movie with bf (I hate Chinese movie):


4) Approximately 5 hours on bed with bf for "CNY ritual":

My favourites are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.


5) The rest of the day was spent on my own bed, alone.

Pre Chinese New Year Celebration 2

There are two reasons I try my best to avoid looking into a mirror.
1) I begin to see the sign of aging: getting fat.
2) My hair is a mess. It's dry and fucked up I wish I can wear a cap.

When my stylist is back from her Chinese New Year leave, I would request for a professional look instead of the lala head I had for the past one year. I always see myself better in formal attire. However it is not a norm in Malaysia to dress formally for informal gatherings and outings.

Pre Chinese New Year Celebration 1

Really.

Chinese New Year, to me is just another "holiday". A week of sedentary lifestyle plus sinful meals make the "holiday" tiring than usual. I won't be able to button up my 28" jeans after Chinese New Year!!! Hate Chinese New Year.

Chinese New Year, to me is not days to collect red packets. My family and relatives, who believe "red packet is gimmick" do not put money in red packets. It will be surprising if I can collect total more than 20 bucks from them. To you, my friends, the amount I collect could be only 1% of your total red packets. Red packet is never my concern on Chinese New Year. I envy you, but it doesn't matter.

Chinese New Year, to you could be the only days to meet relatives. To me, I would rather work and chat with customers who know nothing about my relatives. Relatives, are blood related people who know nothing about my past and present stories. That is why I choose to work on Chinese New Year and skip all the relatives gathering. Hypocrites.

I am not lonely. I simply vent my frustration on the eve 'coz I don't get to work on Chinese New Year!!!

Gonna be an emo post

One side of my boss is very playful; he plays hide and seek in the office. Another side of him is very philosophical; he asked me "Use a word/ phrase to wrap up your 2012".

Silence is gold. Words are sharper than blades.

My new year eve, for the first time in the decade I went through the lonely day alone. Coughing out blood strips possibly due to injured throat and rising body temperature definitely did not set up the right mood to end the year. Things worsen when demanding people yelled to make me run his errand. Asking a sick man who is under medication to do the job? If you think driving after alcohol is bad, try driving with flu medication.

But human nature is unpredictable. Despite all my conditions I still obediently followed instructions and make sure I returned alive. Even if the demanding requester did not show any sign of appreciation, I forgave him. At least I tried to forgive. Wait! It doesn't make sense. If he does not apologise, what is there to forgive?

On the lonely eve when I was no one in anyone's heart, I dragged my weak body to the nearest clinic just to realize I lost my medical card and I had no cash. When I paid my bill for dinner, I palmed face myself as I should have paid the clinic bill with my credit card. I wasn't thinking straight, that is for sure.

You see, humans are cheap creatures. He may have belittled my presence and yelled at me for no apparent reason. I may not rank the first in his heart. If I am important I believe he will not abandon me to live through the rest of 2012. What I did was wiping my nose discharge on my shirt (I have no tissue). I coughed and sat outside of BR like a beggar waiting for a fortune. Given 630, I waited from 545 for about 3 hours. And then ordered his favourite (which is my least favourite) peppermint.

I hope you understand why the whole pint was filled with only peppermint when I can choose another flavour of my favourite. My message is simple: I can see that you are happy with your peppermint. But can you see me happy without any share of ice cream?

Anyway you only had 2 spoons of it and the rest were trashed. Nice.

Sadly, a love which bounds to domination and submission is not what I after. Happiness is not earned through ultimate gain from another party. I believe in the power of mutual respect, moderation and toleration in every long lasting relationship. I can eat peppermint and capsicum if you want me to. But my question is, will you drink vinegar and eat olives if I request you to? Knowing you for so long, I know your answer without you telling. You will not give in and you will not change. You will not try new things and you hold prejudice on them. You still think of yourself almighty with your final decisions and judgement. I shall keep my silence. This is how you play the game and you leave me no option.

I am tired of arguing every attempt to open you for new possibilities. I have lost confidence in myself and I can feel my words and influence are nothing prominent than your besties or whatsoever. Honestly speaking, you have lost my trust in many ways. I do not trust you in every word you say but I choose to believe. WTF? Ignore me please.

Silence is gold. Words are sharper than blades.

I shall not speak, as I have lost my only audience. An irreplaceable audience you are.

Welcome 2013 with more emo post. I doubt any one will understand what I write.

Quarter 4 of 2012

It's clear I have been missing in action for real long. This is a combination of several overdue posts and current events; just exactly slackers like me always do.

October

Birthday celebration is seriously my least favourite agenda of the year. Ever since I removed my date of birth from every social network, to my relief no one remembers my birthday. No Facebook, SMS and Whatsapp spamming. There are less than 5 people who remember my birthday while another 10 were informed 'coz they are important to me. What can I expect? Not even my family realized my birthday had passed.

Generally, my October weekends were filled with food and food, in the name of birthday celebration.

This was my only birthday cake for 2012. I may have lost my sweet tooth, but this boy is so sweet to buy me a birthday cake and I cannot declined his treat.

27 October 2012 - Victoria Station, Jalan Ampang with Max.
Honestly speaking, the Victoria Station in Jalan Ampang is seriously lacking food quality, ambiance and customer service. I was really not happy with the meal that day. Please visit the outlet in PJ if you insist on Victoria Station.

November

November was a month I saw extreme changes in DarkSac. He now runs 12% faster than he previously could. His HP doubled. He has a new attire. He has the highest survival rate in all dungeons. And most importantly, he has a gift pet named after the fattest cat, BuBuii. The only part of DarkSac remained unchanged is his insignificant damage output.

I can never grow bored with DarkSac, for I have invested a lot of my time and concentration on him. Of 'coz my mum is not happy with how I tolerated my health into computer games. But... oh well.


I love playing support because I get to save and help out my team mates. But I hate when they get multi kills thanks to me and don't even say thanks.

Wedding is a complicated procedure to be together with the one you temporary love. Few years later the quality of love deteriorates and another complicated procedure is proposed. What was it again? Ah, yes!!! Divorce!!! On a lighter note, some people never divorce; either they are too dumb or they died too early.

It's my brother's wedding but I cannot imagine myself busy for him every weekends in December. You are right. Every weekend in December was his wedding. It's not even my wedding!!! And what're my rewards? Scolding and humiliation...

I wish you both happily ever after.

Merdeka cum election

Wahai rakyat Malaysia sekalian, marilah kita perhatikan logo Hari Kebangsaan Malaysia ke-55 di bawah. Bak peribahasa, "ada udang di sebalik kuey teow".


Hari Kebangsaan tahun ini siap dengan lagu yang bakal "membangkitkan" kemarahan tidak kurang daripada 10 juta rakyat dari seluruh dunia. Kecewa jika rakyat tidak marah selepas melihat video ini http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DG--QGXqnlM.

Hari Kebangsaan 2012 hanyalah hari kempen pilihan raya semata-mata kerana mesej yang dilaung-laungkan tahun ini berunsurkan politik. Janji siapa ditepati? Balas budi siapa?

Nasib baik saya bekerja pada 31 Ogos. Saya percaya melepak bersama kawan di ofis adalah jauh lebih baik daripada menonton televisyen di rumah dan melaung-laung Merdeka yang sudah hilang makna. Melainkan ofis menyiarkan lagu "Janji Ditepati", akan saya bomkan speaker tersebut.

January update

Forgive me for my absence in the past weeks. Due to certain reasons, I haven't have free time to blog my mind in this space. I don't mind if you don't forgive me. You probably don't care anyway.

To blog the end of 2011 when January 2012 is coming to an end sounds ridiculously wrong to me. You may not agree, I won't fret and I don't really care. What I really wanted to say now is; I had been up and down for the previous months, it's a year riding on roller coaster and my life was so complicated that you won't understand what I say. To sum it all, to not share my 2011 would be best for you.

At any rate, 2012 did not begin with adorable twinks on my bed, nor there was durian raining from the sky. Mind you, those were purely my imagination, not wish. My 2012 started with flu, fever, cough, sore throat and all illness you can imagine when one hits 35 years old. I was in the office, facing the four white walls. In a muted monologue mode, I curse every customer who rang.

Bla bla bla...

Straight to the point, me and so zai had our anniversary celebration in a much simple but costly way.

What surprised me the most was not the money I spent on that day. Tuls, out of no where, texted his blessing on our 4th year anniversary. Honestly, I would like to hug Tuls for making my day brighter.

And then the year continued with more food the next day.

It's a leather year

Many would have celebrated 2011 as the year of rabbit. Yours sincerely is a golden rabbit this year too. But I find it amusing to learn something new this morning. A fact. The fact is, new year is a day everyone celebrates; a day everyone yearns to change and prays for luck. My point is - What good is there to celebrate a day everyone's involved when you have a unique moment, a much more important one almost no one else could have celebrated?

2011 marks our leather year.

As simple as I am, every celebration is simplified (to save cost). The day is so unique itself, we do not have sufficient time to do hanky panky stuff. Honestly, as if awesome feasts and a rocking bed aren't enough.

This year, we commemorate the precious moment on the anniversary eve in a village, in a quiet house where only 2 of us are remained. Upon reaching Kampar we had our lunch done in 1 hour.

Originally we planned to have mihun as lunch and chicken chop as dinner. Oh well, since we're big eaters so we get to grab something else for dinner. The dinner in western corner of Kampar Vegas was expectedly "cheap". In rating of 10, the dinner earned my generosity of 6. If my chicken chop were to be brought into the restaurant, it would have slapped the lamb and the steak by 130 points. No joke.

When the night turned dark and the wolf howls echoed, we began the anniversary "ritual" as William suggested. The night was so peaceful till an sms broke the concentration at 1 a.m.. "Happy 3rd year anniversary!". So spoke the TULS, and so it was written. The ritual was completed 2 hours later with smiles, sweat and firmer muscles with pleasurable backache along.

I love you. You know how strong these words are.

I am now writing this without my much needed sleep. And there is a need to adhere to my new work schedule 5.30 a.m. tomorrow.
