Stop Lynas, Save Malaysia
On a different note, I just want to show my "big eyes" in my new hair. Recently my narcissism has raised to a different level to an extent I would spend on facial, colour lenses and hair colouring. My confidence is boost, I am still a 38 years old uncle nevertheless.

Comtemplation of Merdeka
My midterm unrest was finally put to an end. Tarry no longer I picked up my painting brush for one last time before my finals crisis rings the alarm. While every Malaysian was patriotically celebrating Malaysia's 52nd independence, little did I do to make the country proud. Corroding under the moonlight, hurdled several sky scrappers and slothfully reminisced the memorabilia was what I did for the night of Independence.
When I was in my mid school, the history text book was very discreetly written. The book did very well to cultivate the nobleness and dedication of the 52 years government to young futures, such as me. I was under impression that BN was the only option available for the government, and Malaysia will collapse if BN ever loses. The multiracial coalition BN had all it takes to rule and serve the country to another heights, to another level and to another future that we all looked upon. And many a times I adored the tolerance of these multiracial parties for the mutual interest of all people, I respect their self-sacrificing effort in maintaining the harmonious atmosphere.
Little did I know that I played right into government's brain wash.
Forget about parents and kopitiam gossips. Internet and newspaper are more than enough to clearly understand the true face of our government, the BN. In fact I always pay attention to politics in newspaper. Mother of all scandals - PKFZ, Altantuya's murder, 2006 AP, 'palace' of Khir Toyo, death of Teoh Beng Hock, ISA, Anwar's scandal, etc etc and more down the list. As if scandals are not sufficient, the popularity of politics even seep through our education system as well as business opportunities. How unsightful. Neither did the government or any politician realize that their political career victimized us, the civilian of Malaysia, young and old, male and female.
It is true that no one is perfect. As much as a scientist loathes perfection, I am not spared being imperfect myself. But we live on a principle to realize our own weak spot and improve from where we fell. Our government is not perfect. Our opposition is not perfect. But what makes me puke is the arrogant and ignorant government which does not admit to their own mistakes. BN has ruled the country for half a century. It is admirable that our country can still progress this far under the corrupted government. We've given you 52 years to change, but we're disappointed. Changes are so minute, it is safe to say they've not change.
Find the justice behind Khir Toyo's escape from punishment in public money misused for his 'palace' and Disneyland scandal, if you can. Yes he is not allowed in any contest in UMNO post. But is that all? Is that the best UMNO can do to bring justice and changes to the party? Why not kick out the biggest traitor from the party? That will help the rakyat a lot. "Saya tidak bersalah, tapi saya menerima keputusan tersebut dengan hati yang terbuka," said Toyo. *Vomit* Perhaps he is a big hit in the party, but shame on him. Shame on UMNO!
Politics. Politics. Politics. Our uni entry is limited by the 'transparent' quota, to ease up and serve opportunities to the Malays. Why must there a quota in the first place? Is the government trying to imply that Malays are stupider than other races that they need the quota for survival? Is it true that Malays are so lazy that they are not competitive enough, spoon-feed by government is a must for survival? I for one do not believe in any of these. But the government makes us to think that way. And I gladly abide by. Sapu arang di muka sendiri.
Try to look back at 9th Malaysian Plan. Recall the RM 10 million New Year bonus in 2008. MCA president Ong Ka Ting was so proud to announce that the government will give out RM 10 million to Chinese schools when he gave out initial sum of RM 6 million to 33 Chinese schools. But what is RM 10 million for more than 33 primary, secondary and independent Chinese schools when Abdullah the 5th PM can grant a special RM 23.5 million allocation to his alma mater, Bukit Mertajam High School? The school alone received a sum even larger than the development funds offered to all 105 Chinese primary schools in Penang, Selangor and Melaka. Yet, Ong Ka Ting was grinning in self satisfaction of what they'd achieved for the Chinese community. My question is WHY Chinese schools, or Indian schools which are in dire need of development funds for new schools are not treated equally?
Do I need to mention ISA here? PKFZ? Or the hilarious story of Altantuya's case swept under the carpet? We can go on but I will definitely not spend my time here writing every scandals and ugly deeds swept under the carpet. We know very well how government runs things. I bet patriotic Malaysians knows better than me in these.
There was once Mahathir introduced Wawasan 2020. One of the vision is to achieve bangsa Malaysia. A Malaysia entity that is representable. An entity that is unique as every Malaysia holds in value. But how possible can the dream be materialized if we are termed babi cina, asked to leave the country as pendatang haram? Bukankah kita anak Malaysia? "Keris ini nak mandi darah Cina!" A very touching, sentimental and eye opening speech by Najib to his delegates but a fearful, troublesome memory to Chinese. Is this Malaysia?
Politics in Malaysia is more than Korean and TVB drama available, in fact much better. It is kisah benar, live and free for all. We can see how grotesque can the politicians be, and how these hypocrites can be kind to pass around gula-gula to woo votes in elections. I sue you, you sue me, I kill you, you kill me, you babi cina, you babi melayu. Babi here babi there. Malaysia is turning ugly. Very ugly. Very unsightful. If they can put down their Ketuanan Melayu, I can guarantee we can focus on building relationship of people, fight the pandemic AH1N1 and solve economic deprivation, effectively.
Eii? My favourite Malay word is none other than babi!
Malaysia is a wonderful country. Where else can you find a country with 16 public holidays a year? Of 'coz, personally Hari Merdeka is no difference with other holidays. I simply can't find a reason to celebrate the ugliness of Malaysia. I still can't find any. I remembered very well my last Negaraku was in 2006's last school assembly. I guess once we've stepped out of school, we are no longer under the influence of government's fake impression.
The 2009 Merdeka theme is 1Malaysia-Keuntungan Didahulukan, Kenaikan Harga Diutamakan. I am lucky this year I'm spared from Merdeka countdown. I hate crowds. Such a good chance is best used to rest at home, cuddle on bed with my loved one and cook a meal or two for your in-law. The simplest Merdeka I had in my entire youth, was in 2009.
So long as the government is not changed, I can only remain as a second class citizen, anywhere. Not even my blood born place Malaysia will accept me as first class citizen. I am no other than other foreign PR. Has the true spirit of Merdeka went up in smoke along with the old generation? What does Merdeka mean to the younger generation? To us? To you? To me? Call me a traitor as much as you want. I am no patriots who will tell around my nationality. If there's anything I am proud of, it is my parents who raised me up well in this corrupted environment. The government needs changes by next general election, either changing from the coalitions internally, or changing entirely by losing the election.
Here, I crossed my leg in silent contemplation of the sky before me. Looking back how far Malaysia has moved backward.
Selamat Menyambut Hari Kemerdekaan Ke-52.
No point mentioning but still... The end of Merdeka is greeted by a hike of RM 0.20 in petrol. How sad. - edited and added 2 September 2009

Jino and his 7th week
13 July
Enzymology assignment is handed in today. The good news - the assignment only costs us a week of sweat. And I am greatly satisfied when I merely laid my fingers on it. My job is simply proofreading and compiling their research. Did I mention they had done a good job in providing me chances to slack off? I mean, the language used is so superb that I couldn't see any wrong. OMG you would think that they've copied and pasted. Yea, no doubt they copy paste. Heck, I care no more. The bad news - I didn't contribute much. I personally think that the hardest task in the assignment is not to search for the content but to fill the contribution forms. Imagine your lecturer asks you to tell him what did you do for the assignment and you tell him you just suck up. It's tough to tell him that so we boasted something just for the sake of filling the forms. Describing our contributions would be easy if no marks are allocated for this part. Haiz...
14 July
The night is so intense. Watching the straight fight between PAS and BN in Manek Urai by-election is fun to some extend. The 6th by-election in
Malaysia after the 12th general election is being held following the death of incumbent assemblyman of PAS of a heart attack. But the most exciting part end up a big let down as PAS rules at only majority 65 votes. I am expecting more than that puny amount. That aside, I am never on PAS's side. I'm against BN. I am on DAP's side.My gor's birthday falls on the same day too. Of 'coz its not as exciting as the by-election. I am not in good term with him and we've never talk for as long as I remember.
15 July
FTIR report itself takes away 4 precious days. Probably longer if not with Greg's help (must puji him a bit). Thanks to him, I am able to understand the whole concept, able to clear the misty confusion at ridiculous speed. It was then completed under pressure by deadlines and other in-waiting tasks in list. And I must thank Greg again for making it fast for me. But of 'coz I myself is undeniably smart (must puji myself a bit also) 'coz if I am not, I won't be able to catch his hints, will I?
I was misinformed that there are 2 Immunology reports and 1 FTIR report to be submitted on the same day as my Immunology midterm (15 July). Who's fault? Or is it me who took the wrong message? Anyway it took me so long to find out that midterm is postponed to the following day, FTIR can be submitted on the next day after midterm while Immunology reports are to be submitted the following week. Thumbs up Blur King. I've completed my FTIR report by the time I realize. If I know any earlier, I would definitely have revised for my midterm first.
Oh yeah! Final Year Project result is out! Not the result as in result. Title selection result is out today! Yea I got selected on my 2nd choice Dr. Ng Chew Hee's Inhibition of restriction enzymes by metal complexes. And I should be conducting in pair with Piew if nothing goes wrong. Quite lucky I am not dropped out for 2nd round of selection.
16 July
My Immunology midterm ends in peace. Rest in peace and die in pieces. Though I have a very fond interest in Immunology since primary school but studying under pressure doesn't work. I agree with the lecturer to one point - today's test is nothing but pure brain work. Perhaps she doesn't know how much memorizing irritates me, I gave her a smile confection of curse and hatred. Imagine more midterms are tailing up. CPR please! I am short of breath.
Which week can I excuse myself? I want to drop by Kampar before my study week commences.
17 July
To reward myself in conjunction of upcoming weekends, I declared today as a holiday just for me. How is the day spent? Ermm... Does formatting baby no. 1 count? Besides losing MSN due to error in formatting, I couldn't come out with something that worth more than to sleep through the day. Yea I sleep the whole day to recover from my sleeping disorder. But a day is never enough. I'm sorry I still have Immunology reports and Instrumental assignment to start from scratch.
Random
I suck. I let myself addicted to Restaurant City. I wasted much time during the busy week to max my dish levels and to renovate my restaurant. 5 days are all it takes to reach lvl 20 and is still growing at a decent speed. Oh I need to mention his name here again. Thanks to Greg's donation, my restaurant looks nicer now. His atomic stoves and toilet bowls really of great help. That makes him owns 31% of my restaurant share.
On another occasion, I come back to Utopia indulgence. The non-graphic online war game was my favourite 7 years ago. Now I am back! I was supposedly growing at the speed of light when 5 different attackers marched across my province and claimed more than 1000 acres total of land in 3 days. Feel so down TT. They left my province half-crippled.

Tri-election 7 April
Nizar PAS won with increased majority of 2789 against Ismail BN in Bukit Gantang yesterday. BN’s hopes to increase its support by fielding a local candidate did not materialise. Duh? This by-election is a referendum on BN's move in capturing Perak state from PR by getting Jelapang assemblyman Hee Yit Foong, Behrang assemblyman Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi and Changkat Jering assemblyman Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu to leave PR to give their support to BN as independents. And very obvious the Perak people dissatisfied ^^, so what if Mahathir joined the field? It won't change the fact people hate Najis.PKR’s Manikumar won the Bukit Selambau seat with a majority of 2,403 votes on Tuesday. The by-election was held following the resignation of incumbent assemblyman V. Arumugam on Feb 8 saw the loss of Ganesan from MIC and other 13 independent candidates.
Meanwhile, Malcolm from BN secured the seat in Batang Ai with majority 1854 votes against PKR Jawah. Jawah failed to overcome Malcolm, thus failing to win the seat. I don't understand why, of why people in Sarawak still support BN for they have given them enough chances for 50 years. Left 5 years right 5 years and they still give support to BN? Anyway Jawah played a good fight... People in Sarawak, buka lah mata besar besar!!!
UMNO deputy Muhyiddin denied BN has lost support and gave excuses that Najis new leadership has just started carrying out tasks thus people are still undecided. Isn't this time, when the time Najis rises to power, is the brightest moment Najis should have confidence with? Just like Abdullah rose to power and everyone saw hope in him, gave Abdullah a big win in 2004 election. But Najis lost the major 2 by-elections right after he took over premiership, shows the lost confidence of people on Najis? Najis, u sao pei la...
Though politics is fun and drama-like, but I hate politics. I don't mean PR is convincingly good and pure in helping us. But from what I see since I learn politics, BN has been so suck up I cannot let my vote to go for BN. Left 5 years right 5 years, do you think we will give you any more chance? You don't deserve it. I will at least struggle and die by voting PR rather than quietly wait for BN to change and rot to death. I try and fail but not fail to try...

New beginning. Of darkness and doubts?
His predecessors are well known for Bapa Kemerdekaan, Bapa Pembangunan, Bapa Perpaduan, Bapa Pemodenan and not to forget the new Tun Abdullah is too hailed under title Bapa Mertua Khairy. And now Najis took over the the most influential post in the country, how will he be leading us for the next 4 years?
PM Najis's maiden speech today 8 p.m. 'One Malaysia. People First. Performance Now.': I would like to announce that the government has decided with immediate effect, to remove the temporary ban on two news publications, release 13 detainees from ISA detention, and conduct a comprehensive review of the Internal Security Act.
His first tactful move - "woah very fast." Bodek betul.
We learn in history - leaders of the coalitions represented by major races of Malaya brushed aside own benefits to reach consensus for an ultimate goal; independence from British colonial. We used to learn how noble Tunku, Tan Cheng Lok, H.S. Lee and Sambanthan were in creating nation of independence, thus the credibility of BN at that time. And I never doubt them, even till now. But once we step out of the education ring, we learn corruption, freedom restrictions, judiciary, racial problems and economy cake from the modern BN which we can never learn from text books (even education is highly fabricated). If independence had been granted by British, and Malaysians are now living as bangsa Malaysia, is there any goal left for a racial-based coalition to exist? I think no, 'coz we are already "bangsa Malaysia", no more babi Melayu pendatang Cina keling India, why bother to have racial-based parties?
Since he is now the new PM, it's fact and there's nothing we can do but to sit at home, pray that he does not ruin us further with his dictatorship from Mahathir. I am looking forward his new cabinet, to compare how different it can be from Mahathir's, to count how many big sharks he placed as his ministers to eat all of us, to see how many snakes he appoints as his advisers to keep himself highly benefited. There's never been a PM to be been hated by most of their rakyat. Most of them link him to the infamous Altantuya murder.
The newly sworn in Najis will face his first test as the by-elections kick start this April 7. All by-elections were fixed the same day on UMNO request (rumours but very true) via Elections Commission to allow BN to rest and prepare after their party election and general assembly. Since EC falls under jurisdiction of PM Department, it is unduly EC chairman and his secretary duty to report under UMNO. Date on working day, UMNO hopes to prevent voters from PR supporters from turning up. Sounds so keji, but I believe he will do so. If we look back at Permatang Pauh by-election, Najis warned media for not spreading bad news about BN. Isn't that already restriction of media freedom that Tun Abdullah had been pressing on?
Bukit Gantang, Bukit Selambau and Batang Ai polls will reflect how Malaysians accept Najis as our new PM, see if UMNO has successfully cheat back our support. After all these, he has another 4 years to prove his credibility for the people to decide in the next general election.
If you do well, Najis, we will not praise you for it's your duty to do and serve us well. You're different from charity to receive glamorous support. Otherwise why call u PM? But if you slack off even awhile, we will not hesitate to remove you. 'Coz you are the PM.

New Year Resolution
Do you still remember how did you celebrate your previous new years? It's practically hard for us since we could not even remember the dinner we had the previous night. But all I could do with my rusty brain, is none other than memorizing. Be it good or bad. Xmas, New Year. They seem to be none other than ordinary public holidays to me. Time passes by as usual, a cat never barks, sun shines brightly... Nothing unusual even when the year draws nearer to its end. Unless you are talking bout the economy crisis we are facing now, there might be changes either back to the stable line or keep on plummeting. But the 1st agenda that I am anticipated for next year is January 17th by-election in Kuala Terengganu. Malaysia politics can never go any better. But I still want to see changes in the long-dominated BN country. If the alternative coalition wins the Kuala Terengganu battle, we will be expecting an exciting show in the 13th general election.
What am I doing now? Where am I right now? I am at home. My favourite idol 林宇中 is on the stage together with thousands of people in The Curve Damansara to countdown. Isn't it curious to know of why am I still at home, not in The Curve Damansara?
Countdown. Is that what everyone does every eve of new year? As for myself, I started going for such event since 2007. What is so nice to countdown? Countdown in Sg Wang every new year eve is like so common among KLites. What's so nice to countdown? You are sandwiched and soaked with sweat in the crowd, making you so uncomfortable, puke and headache. PA system can even blast off your ear drum from miles away. Everyone is sprayed with spraying party foam as if Malaysia's snowing and then you can see police officers start to spoil the atmosphere. However you get to listen to your favourite artists, but that's all?
I excused myself from attending any special countdown thereafter. 2008 eve was the day I celebrated peacefully, in Sg Siput cyber cafe. But still, no matter large street parties or mini countdown in front of TV, new year will still come and new year will never look back to wait for you. As new year approaches, we should graciously welcome him. Any celebration is nothing more than sore enjoyment without meaning behind it. Imagine we are celebrating happily, bang of fireworks exploded in the sky at the stroke of midnight, shouts of "HAPPY NEW YEAR" and cheers, while people in Africa are starving and natural disasters claimed many lives. Not my problem anyway.
So 林宇中 or whoever going to countdown at such large scale party celebration, is not my problem. Not anymore...
How a new year bring any meaning to me, it can only be the past year's achievement or failure. A successful past year is the commemoration of the new year. A failing year comes to grief. Any achievement or failure, responsibility are on the shoulders individually.
Whether we celebrate in a simple manner, or in a large scale event, a new year will eventually come and go. For me, 2008 is the best year that I could hope for, but of 'coz the future years will overwrite 2008 as the best year in my life.
2009 is 5 minutes away. Although I don't pray, I hope my family, my beloved, all my friends, readers or anyone who is somehow related to me to be happy, cheerful, stay positive, smile all the time. Positive thinking is a good lead for a new year. As time goes, we must no longer linger around but focus on growing into more mature individual, regardless amount of effort being put in.
A new year~
A new start~
A new chapter~
A new beginning~
Forget the bad~
Cherish the good~
Wishing all of you a great HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009~
May all your wishes come true~
Thank you.
How would a New Year mean anything to you?
As I could only identify my resolution indefinitely, what I damn sure is to go on with life, unregretably.

好寂寞 - 15 Sept 2008
Yesterday we had bbq. Unfortunately it was raining, and yet bbq was still on. So I was bbq-ing in the middle of the rain. I was controlling myself, as I dont want to get fat in a night. So I eat very little compared to my normal bbq. Well let me count. 10 pieces of ba gua, 2 chicken wings, 2 hotdogs, 2 chicken balls, 2 sotong balls, 2 pieces of lamb, 1 otak otak, 3 pieces honeydew, a cup of cincau, 15 tau foo pok and 20 satay. So little. And I replenish my water supply to avoid dehydration. And yet this afternoon after lunch, I felt my body as cold as my marble floor. I think I caught flu + fever + sore throat. I can't concentrate in studies. I am very sleepy now. But if I hide under blanket, my eyes will definitely close. I put on my socks, yet still cold. Vision blurred, facing computer to keep myself awake. Nutrition exam is on tomorrow and yet I am still writing here. Notes of an inch thick untouched.
When chatting on msn, I felt a sudden emptiness. Just like 8 months ago when that part ended continued by another great story. My heart's crying for you. We didn't chat much as much as last time. Sms reduced by 8 folds. I feel lonely and yet I do not want to disturb you nor let you know how I felt. You need concentration and I don't want to be your burden. For now, I can only hope, time pass by as quick as possible. Till the time comes, I try to persevere. But the more I endure, the harder my heart cries. Echoed for your return, the cries shunt to my eyes.
I had a nightmare few days ago. The first one was really blur and I forgot most of the details. But I still remember the moment you say "The end this moment, shall be" in a very Star Wars Yoga-tic way... Second nightmare was my ba gua was stolen by some brats while I was tied to a tree for unknown reason. Such weird nightmares, and again I woke up at 3 am where no stars can be found in the sky. When I miss someone to this degree, I felt sick. I am sick of waiting. Why am I so soft? How come I can't even wait for another week?
Another day is the day Anuar promised to be accomplished. Anuar will become PM? Although I didn't put much hope in him, I prefer a change in the government which was ruled by BN for over 50 years, yet Malaysia is still at this level. Malaysia is not a democratic country. If it is democratic, Malaysia will not be ruled by BN for half the decade. Orang Cina hanya menumpang? Itu sebelum Malaysia la brother. 50 tahun dulu. Sekarang sudah panggil MALAYSIA. Bukan Tanah MELAYU anymore. This piece of small land is no longer your Malays solely. Kalau you mau duit saya, kasi la saya benefit? Jgn rompak orang Cina!!! How can those politicians not aware of these? Teressa Kok was detained by ISA, while Ahmad Ismail is free out there loathing and boasting? Where is justice? Justice being clouded by darkness. Interpersonal relationship, benefits, power, satisfaction. Malaysian identity based on skin colour, races and religion. Good job BN!!! That is why I hate politics. Everything is politicized. Even in education...
