GGlogy
Time is slipping through our fingers like grains of sand.
Around the corner the final exam is. It is a big relief to finally get to the end of the semester. My mood is not at all impervious to the exam season. Not yet. Not yet.
From my past experience, I know myself too well. Insomnia. Biting Fingernails. These are the significant symptoms I uncontrollably show during my exam crisis. Being positive and persistent all the time are sometimes cliche. I made a stupid bet with Edwin that if I can keep my fingernails longer than 0.5cm by the end of semester, he would treat me Shogun! Conversely Jogoya or Tenji if I lose the bet. A month left for my nails to grow, -0.3mm to begin with.
Based on my experience again, 'visual' aphrodite works well on me. It simply keeps me awake for more than hours than falling asleep in the couch. This natural approach has shown no visible side effects yet, but it is definitely healthier than any medication in pharmacies. All in all it is what every man needs everyday. Do it moderately for a healthy lifestyle XD.
Have a look at my newly arranged timetable for my Year 3 Sem 1 final exams:
Sept 11: Enzymology II
Sept 18: Industrial Biochemistry
Sept 23: Immunology
Sept 28: Proteins and Proteomics
Sept 30: Instrumental and Analytical Biochemistry
Compared to last sem's schedule, I really love this schedule. We have ample of time to flip final revision. I mean AMPLE! But people like me, who do not appreciate time as much as presidents and deans, time is never enough. Lax in discipline, I term this.
My mum invites me for Japanese treat at Xenri D'Garden Terrace - Menara Hap Seng this Sunday, undeliberately. Usually my bro's her target while I am always left out. To be honest I am pretty surprised that I am asked to tag along. Can I safely assume that she's trying to be fair to me? Positively thought, it will be my last joy before I start to feel the sense of fear. So why not enjoy my day with her?
Besides that, on 1st Oct which is the day after my finals cum end of my semester, a planned trip up to Genting together with UTAR friends and my bf is what I anticipated the most.
In the next hour I am forced to change into GG mode. Nothing else but to study and enhance my reading and understanding in all the GGlogy. Till then, I have to cut my time on computer by 3 folds. That's a promise I made to myself.

Jino and his 7th week
I have entered the 7th week of my 14 weeks semester. Half the semester's gone and UTAR is about to repeat the tradition where we students are challenged to perform equilibristics of practical reports and tutorials on the nose at the same time juggle assignments and midterms with gymnastics. I too am not exempted from these challenges. I am already in my 3rd year yet I still fail to adapt to this miserable uni environment.

Enzymology assignment is handed in today. The good news - the assignment only costs us a week of sweat. And I am greatly satisfied when I merely laid my fingers on it. My job is simply proofreading and compiling their research. Did I mention they had done a good job in providing me chances to slack off? I mean, the language used is so superb that I couldn't see any wrong. OMG you would think that they've copied and pasted. Yea, no doubt they copy paste. Heck, I care no more. The bad news - I didn't contribute much. I personally think that the hardest task in the assignment is not to search for the content but to fill the contribution forms. Imagine your lecturer asks you to tell him what did you do for the assignment and you tell him you just suck up. It's tough to tell him that so we boasted something just for the sake of filling the forms. Describing our contributions would be easy if no marks are allocated for this part. Haiz...

The night is so intense. Watching the straight fight between PAS and BN in Manek Urai by-election is fun to some extend. The 6th by-election in
Malaysia after the 12th general election is being held following the death of incumbent assemblyman of PAS of a heart attack. But the most exciting part end up a big let down as PAS rules at only majority 65 votes. I am expecting more than that puny amount. That aside, I am never on PAS's side. I'm against BN. I am on DAP's side.
My gor's birthday falls on the same day too. Of 'coz its not as exciting as the by-election. I am not in good term with him and we've never talk for as long as I remember.

FTIR report itself takes away 4 precious days. Probably longer if not with Greg's help (must puji him a bit). Thanks to him, I am able to understand the whole concept, able to clear the misty confusion at ridiculous speed. It was then completed under pressure by deadlines and other in-waiting tasks in list. And I must thank Greg again for making it fast for me. But of 'coz I myself is undeniably smart (must puji myself a bit also) 'coz if I am not, I won't be able to catch his hints, will I?
I was misinformed that there are 2 Immunology reports and 1 FTIR report to be submitted on the same day as my Immunology midterm (15 July). Who's fault? Or is it me who took the wrong message? Anyway it took me so long to find out that midterm is postponed to the following day, FTIR can be submitted on the next day after midterm while Immunology reports are to be submitted the following week. Thumbs up Blur King. I've completed my FTIR report by the time I realize. If I know any earlier, I would definitely have revised for my midterm first.
Oh yeah! Final Year Project result is out! Not the result as in result. Title selection result is out today! Yea I got selected on my 2nd choice Dr. Ng Chew Hee's Inhibition of restriction enzymes by metal complexes. And I should be conducting in pair with Piew if nothing goes wrong. Quite lucky I am not dropped out for 2nd round of selection.
16 July
My Immunology midterm ends in peace. Rest in peace and die in pieces. Though I have a very fond interest in Immunology since primary school but studying under pressure doesn't work. I agree with the lecturer to one point - today's test is nothing but pure brain work. Perhaps she doesn't know how much memorizing irritates me, I gave her a smile confection of curse and hatred. Imagine more midterms are tailing up. CPR please! I am short of breath.
Which week can I excuse myself? I want to drop by Kampar before my study week commences.
17 July
To reward myself in conjunction of upcoming weekends, I declared today as a holiday just for me. How is the day spent? Ermm... Does formatting baby no. 1 count? Besides losing MSN due to error in formatting, I couldn't come out with something that worth more than to sleep through the day. Yea I sleep the whole day to recover from my sleeping disorder. But a day is never enough. I'm sorry I still have Immunology reports and Instrumental assignment to start from scratch.

I suck. I let myself addicted to Restaurant City. I wasted much time during the busy week to max my dish levels and to renovate my restaurant. 5 days are all it takes to reach lvl 20 and is still growing at a decent speed. Oh I need to mention his name here again. Thanks to Greg's donation, my restaurant looks nicer now. His atomic stoves and toilet bowls really of great help. That makes him owns 31% of my restaurant share.
On another occasion, I come back to Utopia indulgence. The non-graphic online war game was my favourite 7 years ago. Now I am back! I was supposedly growing at the speed of light when 5 different attackers marched across my province and claimed more than 1000 acres total of land in 3 days. Feel so down TT. They left my province half-crippled.

And below are some of the random, candid pics taken by my friends.

In an unrelated story, my mum downloaded So You Think You Can Dance. I am not sure which season is this. Probably season 5. I didn't realize that reality contest can turn out to be very interesting. Even the top 20 show great performance every episode. Personally I like Brandon a lot. He can dance gracefully like a girl yet he is masculine! Woah. And I like Mary Murphy and her 38 shout XD. Kind of addicted to this contest as well.

5th Sem
First and foremost I would like to share this with you.
It didn't take UTAR long to publish our results in intranet. Well, last sem was the hardest among the four. The toughest part was the hectic exam schedule, so challenging that the students were unable to cope and recover from each paper for the next. To tell long story short, I invested mount of effort but never expect much on the outcome. Transient feelings of anxiety, nervous, dreadful and stress mixed. I was very positive before I clicked, I turned hopeless thereafter. If there's no miscalculation, I should be able to pass. But how beaut it'd be to pass made my balls shrink. Assume the worst situation, I miserably braced myself and call for Ultra blessing. Without major painful wait I checked the web for what I had least expected after 2 years of studying here. Huhuhu... Surprisingly it turned out that 4th sem contributes the highest GPA, CGPA is unexpectedly pulled up. Lucky I never shit my pants out. My friends achieved excellent results too. They were rewarded dearly for their efforts, unlike me. Hang on and move forward!
Following results was commencement of 5th sem. Changing experience of holidays spend-over was common among 'not-so-close' friends. Rather than attempt to spend plenty of saliva explaining here and there, close friends may always stay connected through msn. As we have always known and acknowledge, 1st day means to get off and get laid, 1st June which marked the 1st day of 5th sem was no different.
13 of the Biochem group 1 invaded Berjaya Times Square during their 7 hours interval of classes. Sze Koon, Seng Seng, Piew, Bui Bui, Chiau Thong, Siau Chien, Carol, Bee Ling, Shiau Li, Lok, Chang Hoong, Cally and me seperated into groups of votes, to watch 金钱帝国 in GSC, karaoke in Neway, and then together games in Ampang Superbowl, lunch in Old Town Kopitiam, Uncle Duck and McD. Wonderful uni life isn't it? We started spending on the very 1st day itself. How marvelous more can we be? The day walloped plenty penny but it wasn't a bad day. So much that we gained was the time spent together as friends, especially after the 3 weeks disappearance, the bonds were rebonding.
Final year has finally come. So is the project. But I am clueless of how to start. This sem's kind of weird to all of us. Classes are on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. While the rest are for resting, you presume? Will I have more time in painting? I personally think the remaining are allocated for projects, that makes more sense. Yet to find out.
1. Immunology - 4 credit hours
2. Projects - 3 credit hours
3. Proteins and Proteomics - 2 credit hours
4. Industrial Biochemistry - 3 credit hours
5. Enzymology II - 3 credit hours
6. Instrumental Methods and Analytical Biochemistry - 3 credit hours
A sudden change of lifestyle is extremely stressful. Isn't it hard to cope fresh environment when you're well adapted to piggie lifestyle? The reluctance to wake up for classes triumphs every morning. I need extended period to recover from my sloth.
Regarding carpork park, looks like I have to watch out for saman and walk to campus everyday. UTAR implemented a new parking sticker system by using computers to choose the eligible students for the limited lots. The balloting was unsuccessful, so said the computer. Only Piew was selected though. Congrat'z and he has to fetch me into campus ^^

I did not watch the movie.
Neway has widen the varieties of 林宇中's artworks. Bravo 林宇中! 幸福马戏团 and 瓶盖 are now chipped in! And I have more to choose from ^^. Here comes the new version of 林宇中 by 林敬贤.Final year has finally come. Days covered in honey
Saturday 18 April
Hins's concert sparks magically in Genting today. Anyway I am not going - nothing to do with me, I am not any of his fans.
The day starts with a bad morning. The sky is hazy with smoky hazards detrimental to health. And I thought some houses are on fire.
There must be a lot of people died 'coz of mosquitoes otherwise they won't spend so much on the concentrated smokes. Although the smoke is detrimental, humans' lives are in great danger lately. So I raise my legs to support this people in banishing the population of Aedes. Many have fallen to Dengue and Chikungunya, countless lives lost 'coz of the tiny insects. For the sake of humanity, mosquitoes of male or female, Aedes or not, extinct or not, they must be eradicated. They are more than enough to exist in text book.
Due to financial restriction, I am forced to make sandwiches for lunch today. Don't underestimate my sandwiches, they're actually packed with 100% love haha. I made 6 pieces, which should satisfy my lunch enough.
Supposing that we've got the day planned quite nicely. Firstly we will walk around Bukit Bintang, mostly Pavilion while wait for Austin's lunch time. After that we will have Manhattan Fish Market as snacks 'coz I have RM 20 voucher. As exams coming soon, we thought of studying in Starbucks as aromatic caffeine could keep the brain awake for the day.
But the day does not turn out as planned. The day is so hot!!! I couldn't endure the sweat for long, I don't feel comfortable at all. 'Coz of sweat I go emo, emo, emo. Big hot bright sun radiates painful harmful UV light, kills me slowly!!! After meeting Austin and lunch, we look for Manhattan Fish Market showering with sweat. To think deeper, where can I find 1? Is there any outlet in BB? NO!!! BB doesn't have MFM!!! Aiya, apa la. Bodohnya.
We substitute MFM with J.Co last minute. When J.Co is in our sight, we see no queue today. I wonder what happen. Is economic crisis be that strong? Wonderful donuts I say, but I prefer less sweet snacks and a cup of coffee ^^. We drop Starbucks and have J.Co in the car instead, head back to where we come from - home.

Watched Gokusen whole night with Edwin. Sweat makes me even more emo. Arghh!!! I hate hot season. Why is KL so FUCKING hot!!!
Tonight I leave the house extra early, allowing me chance to study at home. Exams start to pressure me, my legs start trembling feebly like jelly. My table now looks like a pile of rubbish mounting, clearing them is no easy task. I touch up my last painting of the week, keep all my painting equipments far away to allow me time to concentrate properly into studies.

I name this painting - Wish to light your path.

I name this painting - Wish to light your path.
I really need to study!!! 3 important subjects in a go, progress is 30%. Hurry!!!
Sunday 19 April
Not to mention how dull it is today, studying is the most boring thing to do in a hospital. I visit my sick grandpapa in Hospital Putrajaya today. Go all the way there to visit him. You should come around and have a look, it's so different from KL. Even the hospital can match the hotels in Genting. Can you now imagine how nice the hospital is?

You should come around and have a look, it's so different from KL. Even the hospital can match the hotels in Genting. Can you now imagine how nice the hospital is?
What's Putrajaya? Established by Mahathir, it is hopefully turned into the most developed city in Malaysia which outmatched KL. Founder of the cities are the major concern for the government. The relocation was to reduce the congestion in the city and to ensure that KL will continue to develop as Malaysia's principal business and financial centre. But from what I see, KL was established by Yap Ah Loy, a Chinese. If Malaysia's most important capital was founded by a Chinese, malu la Malay? So government spent billions into the Putrajaya project in the name of development but in fact government used our tax to develop their own name - the most advanced city in Malaysia which was founded by a Malay.
Back to the hospital, it is quite grand compared to HUKM and HKL. Air-conditioned, new building and greenery which are different from KL's traffic congestion, pollution and concrete buildings. Some of the drawbacks are isolated from main cities, and also inexperienced doctors. Even the street lights by the roadside in Putrajaya is extra special and beautiful.
Hopefully my grandpapa will be fine (though all humans will die eventually), I study whole afternoon, frozen in the room.
Monday 20 April
I break the very promise I made 3 weeks ago. I let the pictures do the talking...
Can I not mention where are these taken? There goes my lanjiao, chopped off cook 酸甜 lanjiao if anyone finds out. Sweet and sour lanjiao nyam nyam!!! Hints: We go for lunch buffet. What a surprise. I rate 30% for today +1% for playing my favourite song Melodi by Rynn!!!
Tuesday 21 April
The day Edwin goes back to Kampar comes again, and it's today. After depart him at Puduraya, I head to UTAR to collect my exam slip and at the same time discuss pass year questions with Pneumonia gang. When they first saw me, they comment a lot of this...
If I say, it is done by the baby next door, he sucks my neck while I am asleep, will you believe me? If I say I make this myself, lagi la no one will believe. So I don't need to explain any further haha. So what if it's a curry kai or strawberry? I don't care lol... Stop questioning, hit the bell, and go on life guys.

To face my finals
I cannot agree more that time is quickly running past. Blink an eye, it's final exams already. Progress? Not much. I don't even have the time to sort out my notes!!!

Genetics - Dr. Gideon is such a nice man. We always drop comments in Facebook lol

Ini notes from Dr. "K"

Cruel Dr. Teh - never mercy

Aha... Ini dia lab manual. Too depressed, too sad, too pressured - torn up whole book in anger

Melodious boost
This morning I woke up as early as 4 a.m. for my last minute study MB test II. How was the test? Not too sure if I can pass, though... Today is Qing Ming but I never like this day. I always love the smoke free environment, not the ritual and superstitious beliefs of praying. Forgive me I am atheist. How glad I was, MB spared me this year...
But on the way back home through MRR2, it was a massive traffic jam. Damn I hate strawberry. Why must there be strawberry on 10.38 a.m.? Najib rises to power and there's strawberry? I don't see the connection here. So when there's little motivation to continue the strawberry, feeling weak from early morning bell and massive energy loss from hitting aeroplane (oops...), I so wish to munch on an apple pie so I drop by McD.
Before I did that, I heard his voice on radio. One FM 88.1. It's long ago radio aired his arts - 远远. Melodies seeped through my veins, increasing adrenylate cyclase activity to convert more ATP to cAMP and... crap! I mean, I got all my energy suddenly. Immediate temporary energy boost. Arghh I want to sing!!!
So I saved RM 3 and continued the journey back home, to find out a little car accident caused whole MRR2 from Taman Kencana up to Tasik Selatan to congest. Why must everyone be so kepo? Saw car accident and slow down to busybody but offer no help? Damn busybody people - Malaysia's unique trait. Beh tahan this kind of people. After the accident the route was so smooth. Even smoother than my pet pet.
When I reached home I was totally exhausted. This time not even 林宇中 can keep me energetic. I need a good sleep. And I dozed to the pitch dark night.
I start listening to many songs, mostly chinese. 林宇中,王力宏,林宥嘉,杨宗纬,曹格,周杰伦 and many more. Now I start to accept 林俊杰,萧敬腾 and 吴克群 into my playlist. I mean all their songs. I don't reject nice songs, but I anti-陈亦讯,SHE, 陈小村, "Danell" Lee and few more I couldn't recall at the moment. Instead of 39 artworks of 林宇中,now my playlist has expanded to 184 of many songs including Chris Daughtry and Wiwisit.

Besides 林宇中,my favourites now are 原谅我,Blues, 多希望你存在,活着,收藏,疼爱,王子的新衣,海芋恋,我在哭,一辈子存在,奋不顾身 by 萧敬腾.
He is the rising pop singer from Taiwan. The super duper shy and silent 萧敬腾 was the PK King of 第二届超级星光大道 and gained the nickname 黑蜘蛛 for his talent and threat to the contestants.
From there his music career rose to fame so quickly. In the same year (June 16 2008) he released his first album of same name, 萧敬腾. To find out he is actually same age as me (March 30 1987), and he has his career blooming already. Where am I now?
He is much better than 林宥嘉 from whatever wise (except his look). Too bad I never know him earlier. It's not too late anyway. Greatly recommending him to my friends...

The young veteran 吴克群 has many albums on sale - Tomorrow (2002), 首长个人全创作专辑 (2004),大顽家 (2005),将军令 (2006) and 为你写诗 (2008). The latest 4 were all his own composed and written. Wonderful!!! Sexay!!!
周星星,男俑,蛤,学不会,大石头,什么东西,吴克群,牵牵牵手,老子说,将军令,冠军,为你写诗 by 吴克群 were hits last time. His songs are hilarious and special. I am still in progress to download other 萧敬腾 and 吴克群 songs. No money buy their albums lol so download all songs la. One of his hard core fans had moved to Johor, I couldn't ask for his help anymore. I wish one day I can buy their albums but too many of them!!! Anyway I am not too over fanatic over them like my interest over 林宇中...
Now I am searching for Bleach OST. Who can send to me?
I still remember how Melodi - 林宇中 and Sheila Majid brought me into music world. Music world doesn't mean to become a singer myself. His songs are really meaningful, his are the only that I really pay attention to, worth buying albums so far. But really thanks to him, now I really enjoy music very much and I am glad I stop restricting my quota in my playlist. No matter how many other singers I like, 林宇中 is still number 1 in my heart!!! Sounds so gay...
个人首长专辑 (2005 12月 30日)- 靠岸,不打烊的店,工体北,再见,落脚,灿烂部屋,寻找,我不是他,失恋学,叶枯过
There are 2 songs I wish to get - Pleng ni (Thai Version of 旋律 by James and 林宇中) and Thai version 失恋学 by Tae and 林宇中. How can I get them?
My target after Langkawi. Save money for a SE W series phone! Despite my ears condition, I still want it!!!
Listen to songs, everyone. They're energy booster for your day!

Where comes the talent?
Officially 29 days from now is the time to face the war between Biochem Y2S2 students and their finals exam. But how much have I prepared for this war? It wouldn't be hard to estimate, 'coz I know I am still at scratch.
The exam schedule for this semester is the worst that I have seen. Important exams are packed in 3 days and that's like a stab in my neck...
25/4 - Pendidikan Moral
25/4 - Metabolism II (4 credit hours)
27/4 - Molecular Biology (4 credit hours)
28/4 - Genetics (4 credit hours)
08/05 - Cultures and Communication (3 credit hours)
My little tests for all subjects are not satisfactory. Didn't I study hard? Was it me studying the wrong way? Or was it me already at my limit?
Is there anything else besides doing my best? If do my best is the only thing I can do best, I should start to wonder, where comes my talent to do my best? Because my best seems to drain my everything but I gain nothing.

Please Help Me!!!
I start fretting right after CNY break. The amount of angpao did not soothe me enough to nullify the post-CNY workloads.
In 4 days time, Genetics test 1 falls upon. The progress is - 3%.
In 11 days time, Molecular Biology test 1 strikes. Progress - 0%.
In 18 days time, Molecular Biology and Genetics reports to be submitted simultaneously. Progress - 0%.
In 34 days time, Culture & Communication assignment and presentation. Progress - 0%.
In 38 days time, say hello to Pendidikan Moral test 1. Progress - 0%.
Not enough? Add on hectic replacement classes, boring classes, bad weather, naughty computer... How time consuming. Can't imagine, can ya?
I am lucky enough to have completed my Pendidikan Moral assignment "prototypically", otherwise my ass would be in real bad shape now. But from the time frame given, Jino you are really inefficient!!!
Though clock ticks, I still manage to slip out these works, leisurely rolling on my bed while thinking whether to save money on KK trip or to buy a new computer. Aren't I just too carefree?
JINO STOP SHAKING YOUR ASS AND START WORKING!!! NOW!!!
Aye aye sir... *crunching*
But allow me to finish up this apple on my hand first, then take a nice ice water bath, lastly watch night news. Ya? ^^
Am I stressed? YES I AM "STRESSED". Believe it or not?

Year 2 Sem 1 Final Semester Result is out!!!
My semester final result was released a week ago. I was able to pass all subjects, without failing any. Well done Jino. At least I don't need to go Kampar. If I go Kampar, maybe it can be nice... Many of my friends obtain better results than me, but who cares? I have done my best. It's nothing regretable.[Jino] - A man's not a man unless he knows how to shoot
