My health status (Part 1)

Part 1, Part 2 (coming soon)

When will I die?

Only time will tell.

I was lying awake on my bed, facing the dirty ceiling. Within the white cold walls, the fan was spinning very fast. Lying right next to me was a young man catching his breath. He was grabbing his left chest tightly while his legs were kicking the air. On my left was an old man who groaned in pain more than six hours already. The bed squeaked when he vigorously rolled on the bed. The moon outside the window pane was so round and bright that a cup of latte would taste a lot better, if the sorrow sounds were never here to break the silent night.

"3030, BILIK 4!"

A dream that felt so real.

Oh... It's not 3037. I wished the doctors could hasten their speed. Then you wouldn't need to stay any longer. A wishful thought. I had no idea what to do, where to go and who to speak to. We stayed for nine hours in the hospital but all I could do was to look at you, then look away and clench my fist.

I don't think you deserve to be in this state. Not you...

Your eyes twitched in pain and it's not something I can share with. There were so many in your mind that bothered you but I couldn't help. If there is ever a way that I can alleviate your pain and misery, I will find it. But for now, accept my pat and I hope it somehow brought you comfort. I wish I could do more than this.

Perhaps you did not know - It doesn't matter what happened in the past, you have a place reserved in my heart. 'Coz you are important to me in many ways. Do you now know why I don't like you thanking me?

You have no idea how happy I was when you have chosen your health and life than your studies. Life is more important than everything else. However, if you have chosen the other way, I will still extend my support and help you in every way I can. I wish you a speedy recovery.

And I have not forgotten our promises, that we shall wait till you have recovered.
